Adobe Photoshop is the world leader in image editing programs. Its ability to alter photographs, scanned artwork or any downloaded image makes it the de facto industry standard in raster graphics editing.
Indeed, its use is so widespread that the word “photoshop” has become a verb. Virtually every image that you see in magazines and newspapers has been photoshopped in some way. Any errors in the techniques used to take the photograph, or even imperfections in the subject matter itself can be corrected using a vast array of tools.
Our Getting Started with Adobe Photoshop training course introduces attendees to layout of the program and describes the many different ways to access commands. The importance of selecting the area of the image to work on is stressed.
Techniques are shown for cleaning and editing photographs, as well ways of adding original content. Transformations and Filters that add artistic flair to the finished result are explored. The ability to put content into separate Layers gives the user of the program more control to edit parts of the image with no fear of effecting other areas.
